Midsummers
Day 'Old scholars" event photos
This year we held an event for our 'old
scholars' in our annual Midsummer Festival on Sunday 19 June
2005, thanks to all who joined us.
The Festival ran from 11am to 4pm, with a performance of this
year's Class Eight play of 'The Merry Wives of Windsor'. There
was also a craft market with many stalls, and of course the
usual Maypole Dancing, Strawberries and Cream, and exhibition
of GCSE Art projects in the Gym.
At 7.30pm we invited all alumni and teachers to a supper in
the grounds. We had trestle tables designated to certain year
or age groups. At 9.15pm we lit the traditional Midsummer
bonfire and there was singing for all.
If you are interested in acting as a 'class rep' for your
class for future events this would be a great help.
It was brilliant to see you all!
Kind regards
Steffi Cook
