Sports Hall, Playing Fields and Gardens
Within the Sports Hall, courts are marked out for
tennis, badminton, basketball and volleyball, and a wide variety
of gymnastic equipment is also available. The Sports Hall
has its own changing rooms and showers. Adjoining this building
are the extensive playing fields, and cricket pavilion, together
with the attractive gardens, where the children learn how
to sow, plant and harvest fruit and vegetables.
Arts and Crafts Studios
A detached block to the north side of the
courtyard houses the well-equipped Fine Arts studio, the Woodwork
studio and the Metalwork studio. The Pottery and Modelling
Studio is housed in a separate building adjacent to the Sports
Hall, and the Photographic Workshop is nearby.
The Theatre
The Theatre has a tiered auditorium to seat 490 people.
The stage is equipped with a fly-tower and full lighting facilities.
All children from six to eighteen years of age are, from time
to time, involved in productions and concerts given in the
Theatre. Professional artists and companies, as well as other
schools and local operatic and dramatic societies, are frequent
visitors to the Theatre, thus providing pupils with a varied
cultural education.
